I have been fortunate in life to have been exposed to many people who I consider wise. These essays are the culmination of things I’ve heard, read, and thought about regarding the practice of painting. Many of the ideas in these essays came from conversations and advice from mentors and friends across many areas of expertise. The resulting essays are the product of my own synthesis, comparison, and analysis of what I have heard, observed, and discovered - organized and communicated in a way that helps my understanding, and hopefully yours as well.
